Used Motor Oil & Filters

Motor oil and oil filters should never be placed in the trash, poured down the drain, or dumped on the ground. The City of Victorville makes it easy for residents to properly recycle used motor oil and filters for free.

Used oil and filters can be taken to the City’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center or to a certified used oil collection center in Victorville. Use CalRecycle's Used Oil Certified Collection Center search tool to find a center near you!

Drain It. Save It. Recycle It.

Used motor oil and filters can pollute land and water if they are not handled properly. Even after being drained, an old oil filter can still contain 10 ounces or more of used oil. Because of this, oil filters must be recycled and should not be thrown in the trash.

Limit: 15 gallons of used oil per visit
