Bulky Item Disposal

City of Victorville residents with curbside barrel service qualify for two free bulky item pickups per year, with up to five items per pickup. Bulky item pickups must be scheduled in advance through Burrtec Waste at (760) 245-8607. Items are collected on your regular trash day and must be placed at the curb by 6 a.m.

Do not place items out until you have scheduled an appointment. If you miss your scheduled pickup, call Burrtec Waste as soon as possible to cancel so you do not lose one of your annual pickups. Additional bulky item pickups may be available for a fee.

Bulky Item Drop-Off

City of Victorville residents may also use the free Bulky Item Drop-Off Program at the Victorville Recycling Drop-Off Center, located at 15164 Anacapa Road. Accepted items include furniture, mattresses, appliances, toilets, desks, and similar household bulky items.

Up to five passenger vehicle or light truck tires are also accepted from City residents. Proof of current Victorville residency is required to drop off furniture and tires only.

Drop-Off Center Hours:
Monday through Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Items Not Accepted

The following items are not accepted at the drop-off location:

  • carpet or padding
  • hazardous waste
  • dirt, rock, concrete, asphalt, or bricks
  • bagged or boxed trash
  • construction materials
  • garden trimmings
  • extra trash
  • clothing
  • similar materials

Mattress Preparation

Mattresses or box springs with bed bugs, fleas, or heavy contamination are accepted only if fully wrapped in a plastic mattress cover and sealed with tape.

County Landfill Disposal

Residents may also self-haul bulky items or extra trash to the San Bernardino County Landfill. Landfill disposal is available for a fee, and rates may change. For current rates and additional information, please contact the San Bernardino County Solid Waste Management Department at (909) 386-8701.
