Community Volunteers

The City of Victorville offers community volunteer opportunities such as Community Cleanup Day and Adopt-A-Street, giving residents, families, schools, and community groups a chance to give back through hands-on service. These family-friendly programs are a great way to help keep Victorville clean while also earning volunteer or community service hours.

The Spring Community Cleanup Day form is now closed for the April 18, 2026 Community Cleanup Day. Check back in July for October's registration!

Community Cleanup Day

Victorville’s Community Cleanup Day takes place twice a year, in April and October, and brings volunteers together to help keep the community clean and beautiful.

Volunteers work in teams at locations throughout the City from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to pick up litter along roadsides. The City provides gloves, trash bags, litter sticks, bottled water, and disposal of collected trash. Participants also receive a free tote bag while supplies last and discounted lunch coupons from participating restaurants.

Advance registration is required. Minors must have parent or guardian permission and contact information. Volunteers age 14 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. High school volunteers ages 15 and older may participate without a parent or guardian if they are part of a school or civic group with adult supervision.

Since October 2007, more than 21,500 volunteers have helped remove over 273 tons of litter throughout Victorville.

Become a Team Leader

Team Leaders help the event run smoothly by coordinating volunteers, sharing event information, distributing supplies, watching for safety concerns, and returning materials after the event. Team Leaders must be 18 or older.

Adopt-A-Street

Adopt-A-Street

The City’s Adopt-A-Street program gives residents, groups, and businesses the opportunity to help keep Victorville litter free on an ongoing basis. Volunteers may adopt a street, a block, or participate in a one-time cleanup project.

The City provides gloves, safety vests, litter pick-up tools, and trash bags, and also arranges for collected litter to be picked up.
