Old Town Commercial Facade Improvement Program
In efforts to preserve the historic Old Town Route 66 area, the City of Victorville created the Old Town Commercial Facade Improvement Program to enhance commercial buildings, attract private investment, beautify commercial corridors, generate shopping, and preserve the historic area.
In July 2024, Economic Development staff was awarded with Community Development Block Grant ("CBDG") funds to provide financial assistance to qualified commercial property and business owners to make facade improvements, correct certain code violations, and make ADA improvements in the Old Town area.
Applicants whose applications have been accepted for this Program will receive a 4-year, 0% interest, ONE-TIME ANNUAL LOAN in an amount up to $100,000 (FY 2025-2026) for the purpose of making external repairs and improvements to their commercial building. Improvements include but are not limited to new signage, new awnings, exterior lights, anti-graffiti treatment, and ADA enhancements.
It is recommended that applicants review the Program Manual, listed below, prior to completing an application. Applicants must meet one of three (3) income qualification requirements and must have a storefront located in the Program Area (see Appendix A of the Program Manual). Applications are prioritized for funding purposes on a first-come, first served basis. Therefore, you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. To apply for this program, please email the Economic Development Department at opportunities@victorvilleca.gov for more information.
