The Asphalt Repair section of the Street Maintenance Division maintains and repairs the asphalt roadways within the City of Victorville.  Pavement inspections are performed regularly, and a pavement management system (MicroPaver) is used to analyze and assess the condition of the City's roadways.  Personnel also respond to service requests from the community.

Pothole repair, pavement patching, overlays, and slurry seals are some of the methods used to prolong the lifespan of a roadway system while attempting to maintain a safe passageway.  On an annual basis, an average of 740 tons of asphalt is used for potholes and patching repairs on city streets.

For potholes, patching, or any other asphalt concerns, please call (760) 241-6365 or email publicworks@victorvilleca.gov.

The money to fund the asphalt repairs to the City’s roadways comes from revenue generated from the gas tax which is included in unleaded and diesel fuel purchases.  This Gas Tax fund is considered a special revenue fund that is restricted by law or administrative action and can only be expended for specified purposes.
