Meet the Fire Chief
Bobby Clemmer
Welcome to the City of Victorville Fire Department! Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. I am proud to serve the residents of Victorville as Fire Chief, and it is truly an honor to serve this community each day.
I began my fire service career in 2002 and have progressed through the ranks of Firefighter/Paramedic, Engineer, Captain, Battalion Chief, and Deputy Chief of Operations. My experience includes service with Barstow Fire Protection District, Apple Valley Fire Protection District, and now the City of Victorville, where I was appointed Fire Chief in May 2024.
As a lifelong resident of the High Desert, it is especially meaningful to serve in the community that helped shape who I am today. Victorville is a great place to live and work, built on strong values, resilience, and a shared sense of community. There is no greater reward than giving back to the place I have always called home and serving alongside dedicated professionals who care deeply about this city.
Victorville is a community I am proud to be a part of. Both our internal and external stakeholders make this an exceptional organization, and their partnership allows us to provide the highest level of service. The Victorville Fire Department responds to more than 25,000 calls for service annually, reflecting both the needs of our growing city and our commitment to protecting life, property, and the environment.
Serving this community is an honor. Our department remains dedicated to professionalism, accountability, and the health and wellness of our firefighters, while continuously striving to meet the evolving needs of those we serve.
Thank you again for your interest in the Victorville Fire Department. It is our privilege to serve you.
