Registration Open: Victorville's Route 66 Car Show

VICTORVILLE, Calif. — Be a part of history and show your car on the iconic Mother Road during the City of Victorville’s 100th Anniversary Car Show & Block Party in the heart of Old Town, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Car enthusiasts are invited to show their classic vehicles from 1978 or earlier during this fun event celebrating Historic Route 66.

Enjoy live music through the decades performed by Acme Time Machine, great food, themed shopping, dance and costume contests, and plenty of fun while competing for custom trophies handmade by the City of Victorville’s Public Works Department.

Trophies will be awarded in the following categories:  Best in Show (5), Best Muscle, Best Pickup, Best Hot Rod, People’s Choice, Mayor’s Choice, Police Choice, Fire Choice, City Manager’s Choice, Chamber Choice, Public Works Choice, Recreation Choice, PIO Choice, Sponsor Choice (3).

Learn more and register your vehicle at VictorvilleCA.gov/Route66.  The registration fee is $30 and includes a souvenir T-shirt and custom challenge coin.  Car show registration will close Sept. 1 or when the limit of 200 vehicles is reached.

The event will also offer a beer garden operated by the Kiwanis Club of Victorville, a doggie fashion show of adoptable pets from Victorville’s Animal Care & Adoption Center, and art and history displays.

The Car Show & Block Party will take place on Route 66/7th Street in Old Town Victorville between C Street and Forrest Avenue.
