Brian Gengler
ABOUT BRIAN GENGLER
Brian Gengler served the City of Victorville for 22 years with 11 of these years as City Engineer.
He joined the City of Victorville as our Traffic Engineer in 2002 and was promoted to Assistant City Engineer just six months later.
Brian was a tremendous part of our success and had a huge impact on our City. He oversaw major infrastructure projects like the Green Tree Extension and Bear Valley Road Bridge Widening as well as the La Mesa/Nisqualli Interchange, and the Nisqualli Road Reconstruction.
Brian retired from the City of Victorville in 2023.
Brian's career in public service spanned 34 years with prior service to the cities of Hermosa Beach, Loma Linda, and Big Bear Lake.
In March 2024, Brian died following a brief battle with cancer.
In recognition and gratitude for Brian's tremendous impact on the City of Victorville and our success, the City Council took action to name the Green Tree Bridge the Brian Gengler Memorial Bridge in his honor.
Brian was a great friend and a terrific husband and father. He was a genuine, patient, and kind person with a fun sense of humor.
We very much appreciate the man he was, and we miss him.
