The City's Storm Drain system consists of drain pipes, catch basins, and drainage channels. Curb and gutter systems, along with drainage channels and dirt shoulders, direct water to the catch basins, which are connected to drain pipes that flow toward the Mojave River.

Maintenance personnel use various equipment for upkeep, including a closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection truck, combination cleaning trucks, backhoes, dump trucks, and crew trucks. This equipment is employed in a manner similar to that used in the city's sanitary sewer collection system.
