The Concrete Repair section of the Street Maintenance Division maintains and repairs the concrete infrastructure throughout the city. Personnel respond to service requests from City Departments and the community. Routine inspections are performed on concrete curbs, gutters, driveway approaches, sidewalks, catch basins, handicap ramps and cross gutters to ensure that required maintenance is performed efficiently and in a timely manner.
Staff responds to service requests for concrete and storm duty repairs along with emergency requests for material spills, traffic accidents and special functions such as parades and street fairs. City Corporate Yard is located at 14177 McArt Rd., Public Works Department lobby business hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The funding source for concrete repairs is the Local Transportation Fund (LTF). The revenue for the LTF is derived from a ¼ cent of the local general sales tax that is collected statewide and then returned to its county of origin, which then distributes the funds to cities and unincorporated areas within the county jurisdiction. These funds are considered a special revenue fund that is restricted by law or administrative action and can only be expended for specified purposes.
