Drought Update
The Victorville Water District is in Stage 2 of our Water Shortage Contingency Plan.
Below are details and resources to learn more about what Stage 2 means and how we can partner together to reach the overall reduction goal of 20% compared to 2020 usage.
Timeline:
March 28, 2022: Governor Newsome issued an Executive Order calling on all water suppliers to implement actions to reduce overall water usage by 20% compared to 2020 usage.
May 24, 2022, State Water Resources Control Board adopted emergency regulations. On June 10, 2022, the emergency regulation went into effect.
- Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional decorative grass should not be watered.
- Give all trees just what they need: Avoid over watering.
- All urban water suppliers must implement Level 2 demand reduction actions in their water shortage contingency plans (with limited exceptions).
2020 Victorville Water District's Water Shortage Contingency Plan Stage 2 is in effect.

Outdoor Watering Restrictions
The following Stage 2 watering restrictions apply to spray irrigation/sprinklers only. Residents may water by drip irrigation system or hand water with a positive shutoff hose nozzle any day or time.

Properties without addresses may water any day except Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Drip Irrigation Schedule
Drip irrigation systems are exempt from the watering schedules.
