What is Victorville Recycles Week?
The first week of November is set aside to raise recycling awareness throughout the City. Recycles Week is fun and educational for the entire City! Local schools participate in various competitive recycling promotions for cash awards. Students will do fun recycling projects such as producing recycling videos, building sculptures made from recyclable materials and developing recycling slogans and posters to promote recycling.
Points will be assigned for each activity, the various CASH awards and certificates are given to the schools and students who are the top scorers. There is a YouTube contest with a $400 prize. In addition, the school that recycles the most CRV bottles and cans also receives a $250 prize.
