The Victor Valley Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) serves as the processing center for recyclables from Apple Valley and Victorville's curbside and commercial/business recycling programs. The "RECYCLE ALLEY" DROP-OFF CENTER is located at the MRF and is open to the public and businesses.
The MRF also has a public BUY-BACK CENTER for CRV bottles and cans.
The MRF is located at 17000 Abbey Lane, in Victorville just off of Stoddard Wells Road—on the way to San Bernardino County’s Victorville Landfill.
The "Recycle Alley" Drop-off Center accepts TVs, computers, corrugated cardboard, appliances, and scrap metal, as well as mixed paper, bottles and cans. The MRF also now accepts mattresses, box springs (king, queen, full, twin), and futon mattresses from area residents for free. (There is a $5/unit charge for mattresses/box springs from businesses.)
By recycling these items at the MRF, residents and businesses reduce the amount of trash going to the landfill. This helps reduce landfill disposal costs and saves valuable resources.
The Recycle Alley Drop-off Center at the MRF is free to all Victor Valley residents and businesses. Note: Free mattress/box spring disposal is only for residents. There is a $5/unit fee for businesses to dispose of mattresses/box springs.
The MRF now accepts carpet and carpet padding from businesses and residents for a fee. As of July 1, 2020, the fee for carpet/padding disposal is $26.59 per ton fee with a minimum charge of $15.00.
The MRF also has compost and mulch available for sale.
The MRF is open Monday - Friday 8 am to 4 pm. Closed weekends.
