Victorville Community Cleanup Day Info

Join us for Victorville's Community Cleanup Day events, held once every April and October. These fun events bring families, friends, and coworkers together to keep our desert clean and beautiful.

Volunteers must register for the event in advance. Minors interested in participating need parent/guardian permission and contact info. Volunteers 14 and younger must have a parent/guardian present during the event. High School volunteers 15 and older may participate without a parent/guardian present but must be part of a school/civic group with adult supervision. 

Volunteers work in teams at multiple locations throughout the City from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to pick up litter from roadsides. Each participant receives a FREE tote bag (while supplies last) and coupons for a discounted lunch at participating local restaurants. The City also provides volunteers with bottled water, gloves, trash bags, litter sticks, and disposes of all trash at the end of the event.

Each event attracts approximately 600-900 volunteers! Since October 2007, more than 21,500 volunteers have picked up over 273 tons of litter from around the City of Victorville!

Become a Team Leader!

Are you interested in making a bigger impact in your community and looking to add leadership experience to your resume? Become a Team Leader! Team Leaders play a vital role in ensuring Victorville’s Community Cleanup Day runs as smoothly as possible. Here is a glance at what you will be responsible to do:

☆ Send Reminders: Notify your group of the event time and location.

☆ Arrive Early: Be there by 7:45 a.m. to prepare.

☆ Gather Your Group: Read off the Safety & Information guide.

☆ Distribute Supplies: Hand out tote bags & clean up supplies.

☆ Stay Alert: Watching for potential hazards like spiders, snakes, and sharp objects.

☆ Promote Our Event:  Take pictures of your volunteers! Let them know they can also take pics to post on social media using our hashtags: #VictorvilleCCU #KeepVictorvilleClean!

☆ Fill Out the Report Card: Providing us with easy details and feedback.

☆ Return Supplies:  Bringing Cleanup Supplies back to Victorville City Hall.

☆ Recruit Volunteers:  We need your help! Invite friends and family to participate in Victorville’s Community Cleanup Day events.

☆ & More!

Please note: Team Leaders must be at least 18 years of age. Minors cannot be Team Leaders.

Sponsorship helps cover the actual costs associated with the Victorville Community Cleanup Day events, including tote bags (with your logo on them) for our volunteers, plastic bags, gloves, trash grabbers, bottled water, first aid kits, etc.

We also invite your business or organization to form a team of volunteers to join the event.  Volunteers would each receive an event tote bag and discount lunch tickets to several local restaurants.
