The City of Victorville holds two city-wide Community Cleanup Days each year, on the 3rd Saturday in April and the 4th Saturday in October.
Community Cleanup Days are outdoor events and depend entirely on volunteers. All volunteers must register, which includes an event liability waiver. Minors can participate, but must have parent/guardian permission and provide parent/guardian contact information. Volunteers aged 14 and younger must have a parent/guardian accompany them on the service project. High School volunteers (aged 15 through 17) may participate without a parent/guardian present, but must be part of a school/civic group with adult supervision.
Young children are not recommended at this event.
Volunteers will be split up and given ample opportunity to socially distance at least six feet from one another. Volunteers are required to wear masks and socially distance at the start of the event, when picking up supplies and attending the safety briefing. Distribution of supplies will be “contactless.” Volunteers are encouraged to limit team size and to refrain from carpooling with individuals not from their households.
Due to high transmission rates in San Bernardino County, it is recommended that volunteers wear masks while picking up litter outside during the Community Cleanup Day event, if groups members do not reside in the same household.
Volunteers work in teams at multiple locations throughout the City from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Volunteers receive a free event t-shirt (while supplies last) and coupons for a discounted lunch at participating local restaurants. The City also provides volunteers with bottled water, gloves, trash bags, and litter sticks. The City disposes of all the trash/litter collected.
Since the event began in October 2007, more than 17,400 volunteers have picked up over 210 tons of litter from around the City of Victorville!

Sponsorship Opportunities Available!
Want to make a difference in our community and get your name and logo more exposure?
Call (760) 955-3306 or email VVSpecialEvents@VictorvilleCA.gov for information on sponsorships. Sponsorship helps cover the actual costs associated with the Victorville Community Cleanup Day events, including T-shirts (with your logo on them) for our volunteers, plastic bags, gloves, trash grabbers, bottled water, first aid kits, etc.
We also invite your staff to organize a team of volunteers and join the event. They would each receive an event T-shirt and discount lunch tickets to several local restaurants.
The Victorville Community Cleanup Day is a fun way for families, friends, and coworkers to join together to take care of our desert environment, show community support, and keep Victorville a clean and beautiful place to live and work. We look forward to your support of this great community event. If you are interested in sponsoring this event, please go to our Sponsorship Page.
Thank you to the current sponsors and volunteers.
