Free Bulky Item Pickup for Victorville residents with curbside barrel service.

The Bulky Item Pickup service helps City residents dispose of larger items like furniture and appliances that cannot fit into trash or recycle barrels. City of Victorville residents with curbside barrel service (including multifamily that have curbside barrel service), qualify for two (2) FREE Bulky Item Pickups per year of up to five (5) items per pick up.

Steps to arrange a Bulky pickup at your home:

  • Call Victorville Disposal at (760) 245-8607 to schedule a Bulky Item Pick-up for your home.  All residential bulky pickups are scheduled directly with Victorville Disposal.
  • Have a list ready of up to 5 items for pick up.  Victorville Disposal will pick up furniture, electronics, appliances and similar items. See the Bulky Item Pickup flier for more details.
  • Victorville Disposal will schedule your Bulky Item Pickup on your next regular trash day.
  • On your scheduled Bulky Item Pickup day, place your items by the curb before 6 am.  Items can also be placed out the night before your scheduled pickup day, but never earlier.  You MUST call ahead for an appointment for the Bulky Pickup.
  • Note: Do NOT put any items out at the curb until you have called to schedule an appointment. You could be subject to code enforcement action if you place items out without an appointment.

Things to know about Bulky Item Pickup

  • If you cannot get your items out for pickup by 6 a.m. on the day scheduled, be sure to call Victorville Disposal right away to cancel before your pickup so you don't lose one of your two annual Bulky Item Pickups.
  • Bulky Pickups are not done by your regular trash/recycling drivers:  Victorville Disposal will send a separate truck to make the bulky item pickup.
  • Victorville Disposal may pick up some of your items in a different order. For example, if you have both electronics and furniture scheduled for pickup, they may send a truck to pick up all the electronics first and send a truck later in the day for the furniture.
  • Bulky Pickups are not for a particular TIME of day. Your pickup may take place any time on your scheduled day between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • If you have used both your two free Bulky Item Pickups for the year, Victorville residents with *proof of current residency can still make a FREE Bulky Item DROP-OFF at our Recycling Drop-Off Center at 15164 Anacapa Rd. See more information below.
  • If you have used both your FREE Bulky Pickups for the year, you may schedule additional Bulky Pickups for a fee. Call Victorville Disposal at 760-245-8607 for more information.

What About Soiled Mattresses or Mattresses with Bed Bugs or Fleas?

Mattresses/box springs with bed bugs or fleas are accepted for bulky item pickup or free drop-off, HOWEVER, there is an extra step needed so they can be safely handled.  PLEASE PURCHASE A PLASTIC MATTRESS COVER AND COVER THE MATTRESS. Use heavy duty masking tape or duct tape to secure the plastic cover. This also applies to mattresses that are excessively soiled by blood or human or pet waste.

Plastic mattress covers are available from do-it-yourself moving companies (e.g. U-Hauls), as well as home improvement stores, or from online shopping sources, (look up “Plastic mattress bag covers).  The cost of a plastic mattress bag/cover is usually about $8-$10.  Please protect the health and safety of collection and disposal company employees by properly wrapping contaminated mattresses. Your assistance and cooperation with these guidelines are greatly appreciated.
