Celebrate Our Military Heroes!
Join us for our 27th Annual Veterans Day Celebration, Nov. 11 from 8:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Old Town Victorville.
Freedom Mile Walk/Run at 8:45 a.m.
We’ll kick off the event with our Freedom Mile Fun Run/Walk at 8:45 a.m. Show your support of our military Veterans and even write the name of a Veteran you want to honor on your run/walk bib. Register online by Nov. 1. The start/finish line is at the corner of 7th Street and Forrest Avenue. Participants will receive a free commemorative t-shirt while supplies last.
Parade at 9 a.m.
A variety of marching bands, entertainers, and military units will be featured in our parade, which will begin at 9 a.m. at the corner of 7th Street and Tracy Street. Parade Entry Applications will be accepted through Oct. 6. Apply online.
Ceremony at 9:30 a.m.
The Veterans Day Ceremony immediately follows the parade at the corner of 7th Street and Forrest Avenue at approximately 9:30 a.m.
Once again, we’ll incorporate a Salute to Victorville Veterans into the Ceremony. Information about their military service will appear in the event program, and their photos will be featured in two commemorative videos.
Complete our Veteran Information Form by Oct. 6 to tell us about your military service or the service of a Veteran you know and love.
Road Closures & Parking
Portions of 7th Street from Mojave Drive to B Street will be closed from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the Veterans Day Celebration.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes. Those attending this event are encouraged to travel Hesperia Road into Old Town.
Parking is available in the lot at the old junior high school on Forrest Avenue or nearby surface streets.
