Let's Get Ready for School!

Preschool is a great way for children to get a jump start on their education. Kids who have attended preschool are better prepared for school once they reach kindergarten age. The City of Victorville offers preschool programs for children ages 2 to 5 years. Our main focus is on socialization skills like sharing and classroom behavior, but we'll also learn some early academic skills. Classes are held from September to May each year. Here are some of the classes we offer:

Parent & Tot

For children ages 2 - 3 and their parent or care-giver. The child must be at least 2 years old at the time of registration. Classes will encourage problem solving, to discover and explore, and build self-esteem in a structured and fun environment. Program will promote language and listening, social interaction, and fine/large motor skills. Curriculum will consist of alphabet, colors, shapes and numbers using circle time, art, music/movement, stories and more!  This class meets once a week for one hour.

Threes

For children ages 3 - 4 years. The child must be at least 3 years of age at time of registration and independently potty trained. The emphasis will be on socialization skills, and will use fun activities to introduce the child to the alphabet, phonics, early writing skills and numbers.
