Children's Programming @  the Victorville City Library

You can request books via our Curbside Pick-Up and Phone service, our Zip Book Program, and we have a variety of digital material available via our Digital Media Resource Page and others through our Virtual Library

Summer Reading Program 2022 

Summer Reading Program 2022 is here!

  • Registration begins May 21st. Sign up to read all summer long and receive weekly prizes and raffle tickets to be entered for a chance at the Grand Prize
  • Participants will read the required amount of minutes per day/week or have the books read to them.
  • Children 0-5 years: Read 15 minutes per day or 105 minutes per week. 
  • Children 6-12 years: Read 20 minutes per day or 140 minutes per week.
  • Teens 13-17 years: Read 30 minutes per day or 210 minutes per week.
  • Adults: Read 30 minutes per day or 210 minutes per week.
  • When turning in the reading log, you may receive: (While supplies last):
    • 1. Raffle ticket
    • 2. A prize (adults excluded)
    • 3. A book. (all participants)

Raffles tickets will be entered for a chance at the Grand Prize at the end of the Summer.  No point limits.  More Points = More Chances to Win.

Participants can register in person or online via our READ Squared App at VCLREADsuared.com. Log your reading progress on the app or with a paper log (available at the Library) and enjoy the fun.

Fall & Winter Programs

Multilingual Story Time - All Ages 

10 AM, Wednesdays.

Storytime and Activity in English and Spanish and Other Languages.  

Limited seating. Face masks and social distancing is required. Each child will receive a Story Time take-home activity packet.

Kinder Prep - All Ages

10 AM, Thursdays.  

Kinder Prep is designed to help kids with their reading and fine motor skills. Activity and story will vary from week to week. All kids whether pre-K or older are welcomed to join the fun. 

Limited seating. Face masks and social distancing is required. Each child will receive a Story Time take-home activity packet. For more information, call 760-245-4222.
