Online Business Licensing Coming

The City is excited to announce the launch of our new online business licensing system.  Through this new system, you will be able to pay fees, apply for business licenses, check application statuses, obtain business licenses, and renew business licenses all online.

Anyone conducting business within the Victorville city limits must first obtain a Business License.

Business Type Classifications


Applications can only be accepted in-person or via mail.  You may email or fax the application as long as the original application is submitted prior to the business license being issued.  

Payments can be only made in the form of cash, check or money order (payable to the City of Victorville), either in-person or via mail; no exceptions. 

In-person City Hall business hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 5:30pm.    

Anyone wishing to find out information regarding a specific business must submit a Public Records Request Form (located below under forms), or you may visit the Records Division webpage for more information.


Obtaining a Business License:

Please read all of the information provided (including the information on the cover sheet checklist located within the application packet) prior to securing a location, signing a lease or purchasing/hanging signs.

Below are application packets for each business type (please reference the Business Type Classifications link above for a full description of each business type).  

Each application contains a cover sheet checklist with specific requirements for that business type; including the associated fees, required forms to be completed and information on what documents are required to be submitted with the application to assist you in the application process.

If your business address is located outside Victorville city limits (Out-of-City) but you have business to be conducted within city limits, please select an application packet from the following:

Renewing a Business License:

30 days prior to your Business License expiration date, the Business License Division will mail out a Renewal Notice to the mailing address on file, containing specific instructions to your business license, if applicable.  It will also contain a payment stub and return envelope for your convenience.

Penalty fees are assessed when the Annual Renewal Fees are not paid prior to the expiration date.

Renewals cannot take place over the phone, via email or fax or online.  Payments can be only made in the form of cash, check or money order (payable to the City of Victorville), either in-person or via mail; no exceptions.

Updating / Cancelling a Business License:

As a reminder, you are responsible for maintaining the correct information for your Business License, up to and including updates, as well as cancelling your Business License.  

If you need to update information about your business, please use the Business License Update Form.  The form can be mailed in, emailed or faxed to the Business License Division.

If you are no longer doing business and would like to cancel your Business License, please use the Statement of Business Cancellation Form.  The form can be mailed in, emailed or faxed to the Business License Division.
