City of Victorville Requires Face Coverings Inside City Facilities

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 12, 2021

Victorville, Calif. – The City of Victorville announced that it will require face coverings of all employees and visitors when inside City facilities regardless of vaccination status effective Aug. 13. According to City officials, the face covering requirement is a necessary precaution to protect community members and employees from the spread of COVID-19 as the number of local positive cases and hospitalizations have increased significantly in the last few weeks. The City’s face covering requirement is in accordance with CDC and California Department of Public Health recommendations that both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals in high-transmission areas wear face coverings in indoor settings. This requirement applies to all City facilities including Council Chambers where public meetings are held. Additional information about the City of Victorville’s response to COVID-19 is available at VictorvilleCA.gov/coronavirus.
