CITY OF VICTORVILLE TO HOST CONCERTS IN THE PARK SERIES

Will feature performances by Victorville Sings contestants

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 12, 2021

Victorville, Calif. – Today, the City of Victorville announced plans to host its inaugural Concerts in the Park Series featuring bands from a variety of genres and Victorville Sings contestants each Friday night in September at Hook Park, 14973 Joshua St. The series will kick off on Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. with Stone Soul, a fan favorite known for its horn-blowing, foot-stomping tribute to classic soul and Motown.

Grab your chairs and blankets and join us for this free, family-oriented event that will include an arts and craft station, KidsZone, and food vendors. Arrive early to reserve lawn seating that is first come, first served.

During the concerts, TXT2VOTE to select your favorite Victorville Sings contestants. Finalists will be selected from the first three concerts, and the champion will be crowned at the final concert, Sept. 24. “We are excited to provide this opportunity for our community to celebrate the joy that live music offers during our new Concerts in the Park Series and Victorville Sings competition,” said Victorville Mayor, Debra Jones. “Spending time with family and friends while enjoying performances by our talented youth and sensational bands is sure to be great fun for all.”

Sept. 3 - Stone Soul (Classic Soul & Motown)
Sept. 10 - Neon Nation (80’s)
Sept. 17 - RetroBlast (Classic Rock)
Sept. 24 - Hard Day’s Night (SoCal’s best Beatles Tribute)
