City of Victorville Launching Phase Two of its Small Business Assistance Grant Program
The City of Victorville is launching Phase Two of its Reopening Victorville Small Business Assistance Grant Program to assist more local small businesses negatively impacted by COVID-19. The grants of up to $15,000 each are intended to help independently owned and operated small businesses continue their services and retain employees. Applicants must be located within a Victorville CDBG target area, have been in operation for at least one year, have a low income business owner (eligible as Micro-enterprise Activity with less than 5 employees including business owner), OR at least 51% of employees are low-to-moderate income persons (Special Economic Development Activity), AND able to demonstrate income loss due to COVID-19.
This grant program was approved by the Victorville City Council on May 19, 2020. With additional funds available, the City has reopened the application process to further assist businesses with recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Preference will be given to businesses located in the Old Town area and minority or female-owned businesses. Funds are limited.
