City issues Guidelines for Outdoor Business Operations
On July 13, 2020 the California Department of Public Health issued a Statewide Order requiring all counties to close indoor operations of businesses identified as Stage 2 or Stage 3 sectors of the Pandemic Resilience Roadmap. These businesses have settings where groups convene and are considered high-risk for the transmission of COVID-19.
In response to the Statewide Public Health Officer Order, the City of Victorville created guidelines allowing businesses outlined in the State Order to conduct operations outdoors during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Restaurants, museums, gyms and fitness centers may conduct outdoor business operations without additional review or approval by the City. Outdoor business operations are permitted for businesses such as bars, brewpubs, family entertainment centers, places of worship and malls by following the Special Outdoor Operation Guidelines, as applicable. Personal care services, hair salons and barber shops remain prohibited due to the requirements of their licensing authorities. The Guidelines for Outdoor Business Operations can be found at vv.city/outdoors.
