FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 9, 2022

WHAT: Road Closures for Victorville Veterans Day Celebration

WHEN: Nov. 11 from approximately, 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.

WHERE: 7th Street between Mojave Drive and B Street and Forrest Avenue between 7th Street and 8th Street (Victorville, Calif.)

DESCRIPTION: This Friday, Nov. 11, the City of Victorville will host its 26th Annual Veterans Day Celebration. As a result, portions of 7th Street and Forrest Avenue in Old Town Victorville will be closed during this special event.

Road closures will be in effect on 7th Street between Mojave Drive and B Street and on Forrest Avenue between 7th Street and 8th Street from approximately 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.

No traffic will be permitted to drive on or across 7th Street during this time.

Motorists are asked to use caution and use alternate routes such as Hesperia Road when traveling in Old Town on Thursday morning.

The City’s Veterans Day event will begin at 8:45 a.m. with the Freedom Mile Run. The Parade will begin at 9 a.m.at the corner of Tracy and 7th Street and proceed Northeast on 7th Street to the corner of B Street.

The Veterans Day Ceremony will immediately follow the parade at approximately 9:30 a.m. at the corner of 7th Street and Forrest Avenue in front of the Victorville Veterans Memorial.
