For Victorville Holiday Events on Saturday, Dec. 1

What: Planned Road Closures for Victorville Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting

Where: Multiple locations as specified below

When: Saturday, Dec. 1 – various times throughout the day as detailed below


ROAD CLOSURES FOR VICTORVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE:

Staging area road closures: DEC. 1, 5:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

-La Paz Drive between 7th Street and Lorene Drive
-Seneca Road from Rodeo to La Paz Drive
-Mesa Drive from Villa Drive to Seneca Road
-Plaza Drive between La Paz and 7th Street

Parade route road closures: DEC. 1, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

-7th Street between La Paz Drive and Mojave Drive
-Mojave Drive from 7th Street to Del Rey Court
-6th Street from Mojave Drive to Tracy Street


ROAD CLOSURES FOR VICTORVILLE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS & TREE LIGHTING:

Event area road closures: DEC. 1, 1 p.m. – 9 p.m.

-Civic Drive between Ramona Avenue and West Sage

Description:

The annual Victorville Christmas Parade is planned for Saturday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. As a result, City of Victorville Public Works crews will close several roads for the parade and the parade staging area. Road closures will begin at 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 1 and last until 1 p.m. The following streets will be affected: La Paz, 7th Street, Seneca Road, Mesa Drive and Plaza Drive. The Parade route is along 7th Street in Old Town Victorville. Entries will begin at the corner of 7th Street and La Paz Drive, follow a two-mile route along 7th Street, turn left onto Mojave Drive and end at the intersection of 6th Street and Mojave Drive.

The City of Victorville will host its Festival of Lights & Tree Lighting on Saturday evening, Dec. 1 at Victorville City Hall from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Civic Drive, in front of City Hall will be closed from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. for this event.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and to obey all posted signs and devices. Extreme caution should be used when traveling in Old Town Saturday morning and near City Hall Saturday night.
