California Native Plants

  • Date: 11/12/2020 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
The City of Victorville, in partnership with Mojave Water Agency and the Alliance for Water Awareness and Conservation, will host a California Native Plants Class on Thursday, November 12 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on ZOOM.  This live, remote class is free!  Space is limited and registration is required . To register contact Donna McCormick at  or by phone at (760) 955-2016.

California Native plants are accustomed to our climate and soil conditions. They do not require fertilizer to adapt like many non-native plants because they naturally grow in our environment. Desert native plants require very little irrigation once established and are a good choice when looking for ways to conserve irrigation water in your landscape.

Join us for this live session hosted on ZOOM and learn about the benefits of selecting California natives for your landscape, know how to select the right plants for your location and discover why these natives require less water.
