This workshop will take participants through a step-by-step process that will make it easy for them to develop a well-planned landscape design. This includes information about how to conduct a thorough site analysis, how to develop accurate plot plans and how to effectively use overlays and construction details.
The goal of the workshop is to take the participant from a simple plot plan to a more efficient and water-conserving garden. This is done through the introduction and use of concepts such as microclimates, hydrozones and plant selection. For a flier about the event click HERE.

The workshop provides important information about grading, drainage systems and retaining walls, as well as how to deal with slopes in the landscape. The workshop will also discuss budgeting and how to succeed at meeting a particular budget requirement.
In addition to the processes involved in developing a landscape design, an overview of the materials needed to accomplish this task will also be provided. This is an excellent workshop for novice gardeners seeking to learn how to create landscape designs on their own. Once developed, the final concept plan could be submitted to an installation contractor for professional results.
Also included are refreshments, raffle prizes and water conservation & landscape resources.
