Can I apply online?
Yes! You may apply online under the "Current Jobs" link.
Can one application be used for more than one position?
No. Each position requires a separate application. If you have applied with the City for other opportunities, you may access your latest application information by logging in and using your confidential pin#.
What is the last date to submit my application?
The closing date of the job recruitment is listed on the job annoucement.
Is there anything else I need to submit with my application?
If additional documents are required; i.e., copies of certifications, this information will be clearly listed on the job annoucement.
Can I indicate “see attached resume” on my application where it asks for experience or do I have to actually complete this section?
To be considered, the application must be complete. You may supplement your application by attaching a resume.
Will you accept a resume in lieu of an application?
No. An application is required for all positions.
Can I return my application by FAX or can you FAX an application to my attention?
No. Only online applications are accepted.
Can I submit an application for a position that is not open or posted on the Job Line?
No. The City only accepts applications for positions that are currently open.
How long will it take before I hear something?

Will I receive notification if I am not considered for the position?

Will there be a test?

If I pass the test, am I guaranteed an interview?
Only those candidates achieving the top scores will participate in the Interview Panel Evaluation.
How many openings are there for this position?
The number of openings can vary depending on the type of position; i.e. seasonal, part-time, management, non-management, etc. In some cases, this information is not available. However, all positions posted have at least one opening, unless otherwise stated.
How long will my name remain on the eligibility list?
For full-time positions, the eligibility list is valid for six months and may be extended for an additional six months. For part-time positions, the list is valid for six months.
